Alliance of The ElfStone was founded on October 20th, 2008, in anticipation of the influx of new players for the first LOTRO expansion - Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria. The Kinship was created with one main purpose in mind - to provide a home for all of its members where they could enjoy the companionship of both new and veteran players, obtain help in learning the mechanics of gameplay, easily find others for Fellowship quests and activities, and help each other obtain materials for crafting as well as crafting for each other, all within a fun, casual, and relaxed atmosphere. With that purpose in mind, we began the recruiting process on January 6th, 2009.

Although an Elven based Kinship, we have members of all races and are currently accepting applications for all races, classes, levels, play experience, play-styles, & time zones. While many of our members are in the United States from all time zones, we also have members from Canada, Australia, Japan, England, and Norway, and are working hard to fill the various timeslots with members and Officers.  Our membership has grown from the initial 2 players with eight characters, to over 160 players with over 200 characters, and we are still growing.

Still relatively young as a group, we are currently a Rank 7 Kinship with a dedicated group of Officers, and are quickly becoming a close-knit family. We are also the proud owners of a Kinship Hall in the Elven community and plan on hosting many Kinship events here. We anticipate enjoying every aspect of the Middle Earth of LOTRO, from crafting, fishing, exploring every nook and cranny, and solo or group questing, to full Fellowships, occasional Raids, and even some PvMP (including some Monster play) as well as Kinship sponsored events, and short of an unforeseen catastrophe, will be here as long as the talented Dev team is churning out the content and the servers are live.
